"I must be right. Never an aspirin. Never injured a day in my life. The whole country, the whole world, should be doing my exercises. They'd be happier"

Joseph Pilates in 1965, age 86

After having experienced many forms of exercise over a number of years, I discovered the benefits of Pilates for myself and soon became an advocate of this mind and body technique.

I studied and completed my Pilates training in Sydney, Australia. I am fully certified with Polestar Pilates® Education in both the mat and studio series.

On returning to the UK I started my practice in Essex and was the sole Pilates instructor for West Ham United Football Club, working closely with the team's physiotherapist on programmes for injury rehabilitation and preventative exercise.

In addition to this, my other clients comprised people with injuries, athletes, pregnant women, dancers and people who just wanted to get fit using Pilates.

I am now based in Northend, near Bath.

I have experience teaching group classes, 1:1 sessions and injury rehabilitation.

I am a mentor for Polestar Pilates® students, assisting on training courses and helping them through the study required and exam process.

I constantly attend development weekends, workshops and further training courses to expand on my knowledge, repertoire and experience.

I have completed, and qualified in, the following courses:

Polestar Pilates® Education Mat Series
Polestar Pilates® Education Studio Series
Polestar Pilates® Advanced Reformer Course
Pilates Institute Inside Out Mind Body Convention 2004
